What Akume, APC did to me – Ortom makes another shocking revelation

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Candidate in the forth coming gubernatorial elections in Benue State, Dr. Samuel Ortom, said his former Party, the All Progressive Congress (APC) was a thorn in his flesh.

Ortom who made the disclosure at Obagaji in Agatu LGA amidst cheers from crowd at the flag off of his Benue – South governorship rally said the big guns in the All Progressive Congress never allow him to operate to the benefit of the people of Benue State.

According to the Governor, he was in bondage until his deliberate departure from the party.

He explained that since joining the Peoples Democratic Party where he had his unlimited freedom, his government never owed salaries and projects were being executed.

He listed Oshigbudu – Obagaji roads as well as some rural electrification projects as well as as construction of some class rooms in some primary schools across Agatu LGA as some of the projects executed by his government amongst others.

He called on the people of the Local Government Area to continue to support him saying, ” if you give me your support, I promise to do better then what you are seeing today”.

In his remarks, the former President of the Senate, Senator David Mark disclosed that Ortom was being persecuted because of his principle stand in defence of the Benue People.

In his words, “Governor Ortom is being persecuted today because he is the defender of the people. He should be encouraged to go back and defend us. He will not only defend us but will also ensure that peace prevail in all parts of the state”.

Earlier, the Senatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic party, Comrade Abba Moro said ” a vote for PDP is a vote for progress and development”.

According to him, the imprimaturs of the Peoples Democratic party in the development of Benue South was very visible.

He disclosed that apart from several projects initiated and executed by the former president of the Senate, Senator David Mark, the Loko bridge and the Otukp – Oweto road were some of them stressing that the All Progressive Party had no interest in the development of Benue south.

Moro therefore urged the people to remain resolute in their support for PDP.

In the same vein, the House of Assembly candidate of the Peoples Democratic party in Agatu LGA, Mr Abuh Edoh, urged the people of Agatu to vote all PDP candidates in the forth coming elections.
