The most popular short-form video hosting service on App Store and Play Store, TikTok has opened a job listing available for people in Sub-Saharan countries. Although TikTok has global offices, there are none in Africa as a whole. The job listing is opening to three African countries – Lagos (Nigeria), Kenya, and Johannesburg (South Africa) and is being termed as a local partnership.
The team being put together is a local partnership arm of their global Operations & Marketing organization. The job will primarily serve the West, East, and Southern markets as those are the areas that use it the most.
The position is set up to help deliver commitment to regions that have not been catered to properly but make up an influential part of the content on the app. TikTok intends to champion and understand the content creators native to these regions.
In order to expand the lifestyle and education vertical, the Content Partnerships Manager for Sub-Saharan Africa will be in charge of putting TikTok’s plan into practise and leading localization. Fashion, beauty, food, travel, motivation, and other educational content are some of the vertical’s categories that will be focused on.
