A branch of Wema bank situated in Okuku, Odo-Otin local government, Osun was attacked by unknown gunmen suspected to be armed robbers on Thursday.
IDOMA VOICE gathered that the heavily-armed gunmen invaded the new generation bank around noon and they shot sporadically into the air to create fear and scare residents away from the surroundings of the bank.
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Mrs Yemisi Opalola confirmed the incident.
The PPRO said: “The Commissioner of Police, Mr Olawale Olokode, has led a team of police to the scene of the crime to dislodge the armed robbers and for possible arrest.”
