Army arrestes two notorious terrorists in Benue, recovers dangerous weapons

Two notorious criminals suspected to be members of the militia gang terrorizing Benue State have been arrested by the Troops of 72 and 93 Battalions.

The criminals were arrested of Katsina Ala local government area following a tip off.

The troops also recovered dangerous weapons including: one locally made gun, one pistol, seven rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, one round of 9mm ammunition.

The Director of the Army public relations, Texas Chukwu in a statement, said preliminary investigation revealed that those arrested belong to a notorious militia gang led by one Terwase Akwaza AkA Mr Gana, who is presently at large.

“Efforts are on to arrest other members of the gang including their leader.
“The public is once again reminded to report any suspicious activities in their areas to the law enforcement agents.” ha added.
