Zamfara state Governor Bello Mohammed has approved the appointment of Alhaji Sanusi Mohammed as the new Emir of Kaura Namoda.
The 40-year-old Alhaji Sanusi was a serving Major General in the Nigeria Army before his appointment.
This is contained in a statement issued to newsmen, signed by the Special Adviser to the governor on Public Enlightenment, Media and Communication, Malam Zailani Bappa, and made available to Blueprint Tuesday.
The statement said the approval followsed recommendation from the Kaura Namoda Traditional Council as enshrined in the selection procedure.
Alhaji Sanusi Mohammed succeeded the late Emir Alhaji Mohamned Ahmed Asha who passed away following a brief illness.
