Arsenal FC agree personal terms to sign 19-year-old South American winger

Arsenal FC have been on the lookout for a new attacker as they are set to lose some of their attackers, namely Eddie Nketiah and Alexandre Lacazette.

However, the North Londoners have been linked with a move to sign a 19-year-old Brazilian attacker and Mikel Arteta’s team have reportedly agreed on a personal deal with him.

According to reports, Arsenal have proposed to 19-year-old Marquinhos of Sao Paulo, and they’ve even agreed on a salary and contract length with him.

The report further claims that Arsenal FC are willing to pay €3million to lure Marquinhos away from Sao Paulo, but Sao Paulo’s president Julio Casares is trying to negotiate a sell-on clause.

According to FIFA’s rule, Marquinhos will be out of contract this summer, and his club Sao Paulo have been unable to convince him to extend it.

Marquinhos plays mainly as a right-winger, making him a perfect back-up for Bukayo Saka.

However, Arsenal could send Marquinhos out on loan initially if he arrives in the summer, to ensure Saka doesn’t block him from regular senior football.
