Arsenal vs Man United: Why we lost 3 – 1 to Gunners – Ten Hag

Manchester United’s manager, Erik ten Hag, has attributed his team’s 3-1 defeat to Arsenal on Sunday to three contentious refereeing decisions. The Red Devils suffered their second loss in four fixtures at the Emirates Stadium.

Manchester United initially took the lead with a goal from Marcus Rashford, but Arsenal swiftly equalized through Martin Odegaard. Late in the game, Alejandro Garnacho had a goal disallowed due to an offside call, while Rasmus Hojlund’s penalty claims were dismissed.

Arsenal capitalized on these moments, netting two late goals courtesy of Declan Rice and Gabriel Jesus, securing all three points.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Ten Hag expressed his frustration with the key incidents that, in his view, determined the outcome of the match. He stated, “It was not an offside for Garnacho. It was the wrong angle. And there was a penalty on Højlund and a foul on Evans for Rice’s goal. The performance was right. Everything went against us.”
