ASAP Rocky: See why Rihanna’s boyfriend was arrested, detained at LAX Airport

Rihanna’s boyfriend and baby daddy ASAP Rocky has been detained by police at LAX airport.

The 33-year-old rapper was stopped by officers in connection to a shooting that happened in November 2021, according to multiple law enforcement sources familiar with the matter.

He was arriving on a private plane from Barbados, following his recent holiday in the Caribbean with the pregnant songstress.

ASAP’s attorney, Alan Jackson, confirmed that his client had been arrested, according to NBC News.

The publication reports that the rapper had been under investigation by Los Angeles Police Departments for a shooting which happened on November 6 last year, near Vista Del Mar and Selma Ave at around 10:20pm.

The shooting victim, who survived, later told police that ASAP, who was walking with two others, approached him with a handgun on the street.

The victim claimed ASAP shot at him three to four times and believed one of the bullets grazed his left hand, according to police reports.

It’s claimed the shooting had not been announced to the media.

During their romantic getaway – which came after rumours he had cheated on her – they stepped out together for an evening meal.
