ASUU strike: National Assembly asked to ban politicians from sending their children overseas for studies

The Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria, on Wednesday, decried the recurring industrial actions by the Academic Staff Union of Universities ASUU.

HIURIWA said it is high time the government found a lasting solution to the ugly situation.

According to him, politicians and government officials must be stopped from sending their children and wards from schooling in private institutions and in foreign jurisdictions.

The group made this known in a statement by its National Coordinator, Emmanuel Onwubiko.
