ASUU to call off strike as Buhari govt meets lecturers’ demands
The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) may soon call off its ongoing strike as the Nigerian Government claim it has met all the demands of .
The Minister of State for Education, Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba made this known on Monday in Abuja Monday evening while addressing news.
According to Nwajiuba, the Federal Government has released all the earned allowances and revitalisation funds.
According to Nwajiuba: “ASUU announced and we met and everything that they have demanded, we have done all of them including the earned allowances and the revitalisation fund; they choose to extend it for two months maybe.”
This is coming at a time ASUU had extended its ongoing strike by two months.
