Atalanta sign Lookman from RB Leipzig

Super Eagles winger Ademola Lookman will be moving from RB Leipzig of the German Bundesliga to Atalanta, the Italian Serie A team announced on Thursday.

The Nerazzurri neither revealed the length of the contract nor the financial details of the agreement. THEWILL recalls that Lookman made his international debut for Nigeria on March 25 this year in the 2022 FIFA World Cup playoff game against Ghana.

He had spent the previous season on loan with Leicester City, where he made 42 appearances across all competitions and recorded eight goals and notched up five assists. The pacy winger also had prior football experience with Charlton Athletic, Everton, and Fulham in England.

Lookman represented England in the 2017 FIFA Under-20 World Cup before his nationality switch to Nigeria and he leaves RB Leipzig after taking part in 24 games across all competitions for the Bundesliga team, where, in two separate stints with the Red Bull team, the 24-year-old recorded five goals and four assists.
