Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar has won the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential ticket.
Atiku defeated his closest challenger, Nyesom Wike, to win the sole ticket of the party.
Atiku polled votes to defeat Wike, who scored 237 votes.
Atiku, who was the PDP flag bearer in 2019, will now face any candidate from the All Progressives Congress, APC, in 2023.

Meanwhile, Wike had vowed to support whoever emerged as the winner of the election.
