The Presidential Campaign Coalition in Benue State has hailed the Minister of Agriculture, Audu Ogbeh and other eminent members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state for ensuring that the electorate voted President Muhammadu Buhari in the February 23 presidential election.
The coalition, in a statement by the director of Field Operations-Benue State, APC Presidential Campaign Council, Dominic Alancha, said Ogbeh vigorously propagated Buhari’s frugality and coherent political philosophy across the 23 local government areas of the state thereby forging a direct cordial link with voters at the grassroots.
He said the Benue people had justified their support and love for Buhari contrary to “the vicious campaign of calumny by the opposition PDP to set the president and the Benue people against themselves.”
He stated: “Who would have expected even ten per cent of the total votes cast to be in favour of President Buhari, given the relentless mudslinging by the opposition PDP to strip the President of public goodwill, obfuscate issues and cast him in bad light before the Benue people..”
