Axel Disasi joins Chelsea from AS Monaco on deal worth €45 Million

Chelsea have secured the services of French center-back Axel Disasi from AS Monaco on a six-year contract, the club officially announced on Friday.

The 25-year-old defender, who has earned four caps for the French national team and amassed 130 appearances in Ligue 1, joins Stamford Bridge in a deal reported to be worth €45 million ($49.23 million).

Chelsea’s co-sporting directors, Laurence Stewart and Paul Winstanley, expressed their excitement about the signing, acknowledging Disasi’s consistent quality in French football and his recognition at the international level.

Having proved himself over several seasons in France, Disasi is now set to embark on the next phase of his career with Chelsea. The club is optimistic about his potential impact and eagerly awaits his integration into the squad under the guidance of new manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Chelsea’s disappointing 12th-place finish in the previous Premier League campaign has fueled their determination to reinvigorate the team under Pochettino’s leadership and strive for a more successful season ahead.
