Baba Tee: Sleep with my wife, you die – Portable sends strong message to celebrities

Controversial singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has issued a stern warning to celebrities against having an affair with his wife, actress Ashabi Simple.

His warning came in response to actor Babatunde Bernard Tayo, aka Baba Tee, who recently admitted to sleeping with his colleague Ijoba Lande’s wife, Darasimi, after initially denying the claim.

Reacting to Baba Tee’s confession, Portable sent him a series of voice notes, expressing his disappointment and condemning his actions. The singer, known for his outspoken nature, shared the voice messages on his Instagram story.

“Baba Tee, with the way I respect and admire you, I never expected you to do such a thing. You slept with Lande’s wife—so this is how people behave in the movie industry?” Portable questioned.

He went on to issue a warning regarding his own marriage, stating, “I swear to God, if anyone goes near my wife, that person will die. My wife is an actress, and if I catch anyone misbehaving with her, it won’t end well.”

The Zazu crooner also emphasized the spiritual consequences of infidelity, warning that sleeping with another man’s wife brings setbacks. “With the number of women in the world, why would you choose to go after someone’s wife? Even if she’s unfaithful, it’s not right,” he said.

Appealing to Baba Tee, Portable urged him to abandon such behavior, particularly in social settings like Truth or Dare games. “I’m telling you this because I care about you. Please stop. It’s not good, egbon (elder brother),” he pleaded.

Despite his strong stance, Portable concluded by shifting some responsibility onto the husbands, stating that men should be the ones to keep their wives in check.
