Bala Mohammed praises Pastor Adeboye as ATBTH gets dialysis center from RCCG

The Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed has thanked the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, for the dialysis centre donated by His Love Foundation to the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Teaching Hospital, Bauchi.

His Love Foundation is the charity arm of the RCCG.

The dialysis centre donated to ATBTH is the 37th dialysis centre that the foundation would donate to health institutions across the country.

The governor, who was represented at the dedication of the centre on Saturday, February 19 by the State’s Permanent Secretary Ministry of Health, Alh. Ali Babayo described the Church’s gesture as unprecedented.

He praised His Love Foundation for the intervention. He also prayed that Pastor Adeboye who will turn 80 on March 2 will live in good health.

The governor said also that his Government is willing to embrace the opportunity to work with the church to implement social-intervention programmes that would be beneficial to all residents of the state.

He urged other religious bodies to take a cue from RCCG’s intervention, stressing that government would make a greater impact with collaborations

The ENOCH AND FOLU ADEBOYE ATBTH Centre

The ATBTH centre is Enoch and Folu Adeboye Dialysis Center at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Teaching Hospital, Bauchi. It was specifically done to ensure medical centres that benefit from the centre spread across the country.

The ATBTH centre has three Dialysis Machines, one Medical Water Reverse Osmosis Purification System, and one dedicated 30KVA generator to complement Bauchi State Government efforts in the critical health management system.

Pastor Idowu Iluyomade, The Assistant Continental Overseer and The Intercontinental Overseer CSR, said at the ceremony that, “the church is committed to impacting lives in all ramifications”

Iluyomade who was represented at the event by Pastor Detola Akinremi noted that the cost of managing kidney disease is quite heavy.

He said however that by the special grace of God, the Christian Social Responsibility arm of the Redeemed Christian Church Of God “will continue to uphold the divine mandate of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ as noted in the Book of Mathew 25v36”

The pastor explained that the CSR investments stem from the church’s resolve to be of service to humanity in general, and its host community in particular.

“It is also driven by the mantra at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) to touch people’s lives, with emphasis on improving standards of living by providing good education and health through infrastructural development”, he said.

Pastor In Charge of North Region 17 (Bauchi & Gombe), Pastor Julius Olalekan, spoke on behalf of Daddy G.O that the intervention was a mandate from God to meet the needs of as many as possible.

He also mentioned that this impact will continue to every part of the country and beyond.

The Bauchi gesture is the 21st strategic healthcare intervention project of the church.

The church has so far conducted over 30,000 subsidized/free dialysis sessions to date and partnered to carry out 6 kidney transplants for free. It has conducted cancer screening for over 101,995 women.

In the last four years, the RCCG in Nigeria has spent over N25 billion on various CSR activities and has impacted over 130,753,857 people in about 44,000 operating centres in the country.

The foundation has impacted prisons, orphanages and has carried out empowerment programmes. It has built many vocational training, and Skills acquisition centres across the country.

His Love Foundation has also been involved in so many charities, rehabilitation of roads, social infrastructure and environmental architecture. Disaster Relief, & Security and Sports have also been greatly impacted by the foundation.

Beyond these interventions, the foundation has impacted the educational sector heavily. It has established Free primary and secondary schools; Libraries.

It has endowed Professorial Chair in Mathematics in some universities. It has sponsored Mathematics Competitions, Back to School programmes and has bankrolled many scholarship programmes.

The church calls on individuals and corporate organisations to partner with the foundation so it could make more impact across the country. “Monthly support of N1000 or N12,000 per annum from a partner will go a long way to help make the desired impact,” said Pastor Olalekan.
