Suspected bandits launched a deadly assault on the Takanai Gora community situated in the Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State, resulting in the tragic death of six residents and injuring nine others.
Yabo Chris Ephraim, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Chairman of Zangon Kataf, conveyed this grim news in an official statement. He revealed that the six individuals who lost their lives were laid to rest on Wednesday morning in the presence of the local government chairman, Francis Sani.
Chairman Sani unequivocally condemned the attack and issued an appeal for calm, urging all community members to eschew the path of violence.
The victims of this senseless act of violence were identified as Sarah Adamu, Rejoice Adamu, Enoch Adamu, Juan Aminu, Salomi Aminu, and Meshak Aminu, while the injured included Kubai Adamu, Judith Adamu, Abigail Adamu, Dennis Joseph, Grace Bitrus, and Adamu Ibrahim.
In a separate incident, one individual lost their life, and three others sustained injuries in an assault on Kwankwami village, Gadar Gayan, Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State. Additionally, the attackers kidnapped a resident named Mukailu.
