Banks W denies signing Whitemoney to EME records

Popular Singer and Music Executive, Bankole Wellington aka Banky W, the CEO of Empire Mates Entertainment (EME) has refuted claims that he signed BBNaija ‘Shine Ya Eye’ winner, Whitemoney.

Banky made this known during an interview with Hot FM.

The Ebute Meta crooner explained how he and his partner decided to transit from a record label to a media and marketing agency in 2017.

The host asked if that was the reason they signed Whitemoney.

Banky W said they never did rather they helped him get an influencer deal with one of the corporate bodies they service.

“So he’s an ambassador for the company. We helped signed him to market their brand.

“So, we didn’t sign him. He’s not our artiste.”
