Barcelona Gerrard Pique, Pop Star Shakira marriage crashes

Barcelona defender, Gerrard Pique and Colombian super star, Shakira have confirmed that they are bringing an end to their relationship.

The couple met at the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, Shakira sang the tournament theme song ‘Waka Waka’ which became a global hit.

A brief statement, released by the singer’s communication agency, confirmed: “We regret to confirm that we are parting ways. For the well-being of our children, who are our highest priority, we ask that you respect their privacy. Thank you for your understanding.”

Shakira and Pique have been together for 12 years, they have two children together, Sasha, seven , and Milan, nine.

According to Spanish outlet, El Periodico, the couple have been living separately for a few weeks after Pique was kicked out of their family home. The 35-year-old was allegedly caught in bed with another woman.
