Barcelona’s postponed La Liga clash against Osasuna, originally scheduled for March 8, has been rescheduled for March 27, the Spanish Football Association announced on Monday.
The match was called off following the sudden death of Barcelona’s first-team doctor, Carles Minarro, shortly before kickoff.
Despite the new date, reports indicate Barcelona are unhappy with the decision and are considering an appeal.
The Catalan club is concerned that the match falls immediately after the international break, giving little time for key players—such as Brazil’s Raphinha and Uruguay’s Ronald Araujo—to return from international duty in South America, where they are expected to play just two days prior.
Osasuna, meanwhile, are scheduled to face Athletic Bilbao the following evening.
Barcelona currently lead La Liga on goal difference ahead of Real Madrid, with a game in hand.
