Legendary Hollywood actor Val Kilmer has passed away.

His daughter, Mercedes Kilmer, confirmed his death on Tuesday night, April 1, 2025.

Kilmer reportedly died in Los Angeles at the age of 65 after a prolonged battle with pneumonia.

Rising to fame with Top Gun, Kilmer was one of Hollywood’s biggest stars in the 1990s, known for his roles as Jim Morrison in The Doors, Doc Holliday in Tombstone, and Batman in Batman Forever. He also starred in Heat (1995), The Saint (1997), Willow (1988), and more recently, Top Gun: Maverick.

Despite his success, Kilmer developed a reputation for being intense, perfectionistic, and sometimes difficult to work with.

The actor was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2014 but later recovered.
