Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi has sacked all his Commissioners and several other political appointees in the State’s Executive Council.
This was announced in a statement signed by Mukhtar Gidado, Mr Mohammed’s media aide, on Wednesday in Bauchi.
Governor Mohammed, who said that the dissolution was with immediate effect, also sacked the Secretary to the State Government, Chief of Staff, Commissioners, and Special Advisers.
He directed all commissioners to hand over to respective permanent secretaries, while the SSG, chief of staff, and other affected special advisers will hand over to the most senior permanent secretary in the Government House.
The dissolution also affected hundreds of political appointees of the governor.
