Pere Egbi, a participant in the Big Brother Naija All Stars house and a filmmaker, has made a firm commitment to eliminate fellow housemate and actress Venita Akpofure’s role from a movie they had collaborated on prior to entering the reality show, following a heated exchange within the Big Brother house.
In an exchange that took place on Thursday, Venita and Pere engaged in a heated altercation, resorting to using offensive language towards each other.
During a conversation with Kiddwaya and Frodd at a pool party later that Thursday night, Pere expressed his intention to expunge Venita from his movie, despite having paid her one million naira for her role in the film.
Kiddwaya inquired, “What’s the matter between you [Pere] and her [Venita]? I need to grasp the situation because this seems to go beyond house-related disagreements. It appears to involve external issues. Can you shed some light?”
Frodd interjected, “She [Venita] genuinely despises you. But isn’t she the star of your movie?”
Pere replied, “I’m removing her [Venita’s role]. I mean, I’ll eliminate her name from the credits, and I’ll erase her images.
“I don’t intend to reshoot the film. I’ll promote the movie, but I’ll cast other actors instead of her. I paid her one million naira to work on set for four days.”
Frodd and Kiddwaya urged Pere not to erase Venita’s part from the movie, deeming it “petty,” yet Pere remained resolute in his decision to remove her.
