Surprises, tears of joy, and heightened emotions are set to fill the air this evening as the latest edition of the Big Brother Naija reality TV show, titled “Don’t Lose Guard,” draws to a close after 70 days of intense drama, romance, and controversies.
Eight finalists—Anita, Nelly, Ocee, Onyeka, Victoria, Sooj, Kellyrae, and Wanni—emerged following the eviction of three housemates during last Sunday’s live show, paving the way for a thrilling showdown.
Beginning with 28 housemates, the show has seen 20 contestants evicted over the past nine weeks. With the grand prize of N100 million and a brand new SUV on the line, anticipation is high as the eight finalists vie for victory.
This year’s edition introduced a unique twist, as contestants entered the game in pairs, including married couples and identical twins, adding an exciting dynamic to the competition.
The past 70 days have been filled with drama and romance, though some viewers feel this season has not met their expectations in terms of stirring up controversies. However, as the finale approaches, the atmosphere in the BBNaija house is thick with emotion, as the remaining housemates feel the pressure. Biggie has intensified the experience by playing a series of heartfelt messages from home, offering congratulations and encouragement to motivate the finalists with the message that “the only way is up.”
While these messages have sparked joy, they’ve also led to tears, particularly for Nelly, who found solace in the toilet cubicle with her partner, Sooj. He gently urged her to stay strong for her family, echoing sentiments shared by Anita and Onyeka. Ultimately, one winner will be crowned by the end of tomorrow’s live show.
As it stands, many are predicting that Sooj may be the first housemate evicted tomorrow, while Kellyrae is viewed as a frontrunner, thanks to his strategic gameplay and the recent revelation that he is married to evicted housemate Kassia. This twist has garnered significant fan support for Kellyrae, who has shown remarkable resilience throughout the game.
Wanni is another strong contender not to be overlooked. Her exceptional determination and skill have made her a fierce competitor, and her victory in the Innoson Car Challenge suggests she may also clinch the top prize at the grand finale.
