BBNaija Nengi clears air on being pregnant for Bayelsa Gov, Diri
Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Nengi Rebecca Hampson, has debunked claims that she is pregnant for Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri.
IDOMA VOICE reports that speculation arose after Instagram blog Gistlover alleged that Nengi was expecting a child with a prominent governor, leading many to link Governor Diri to the rumor.
Addressing the claims on Monday via her X handle, Nengi confirmed her pregnancy but dismissed any connection to a governor. She emphasized that while she usually ignores social media rumors, she felt compelled to speak up as the allegation also affects people she deeply respects.
She wrote:
“I’m not pregnant for any governor. I’ve chosen to speak because this isn’t just an attack on me—it involves people I hold in the highest regard. I won’t allow a beautiful, personal part of my life to be turned into something ugly.”
Nengi further stated that she intends to enjoy her pregnancy in peace while wishing everyone love and a happy Valentine’s weekend.
