The BBNaija season 7 came to an expected end on Sunday, after Phyna became the second female housemate in history to win the grand prize.
After ten weeks of isolation from friends and family, to a different environment and new faces, the 25 years old edged her name on history books.
The Edo state-born actress and model, christened Ijeoma Josephina Otabor, was born on the 2nd of June 1997.
She made it to the final with five other housemates, Daniella, Chichi, Adekunle, Bella and Bryann, becoming the last ‘woman’ standing.
Phyna has since the first week of the show been seen as the ‘alpha female’ as she was outspoken and never timid in confrontation.
She often claims she is from the street and has been able to walk her way into the hearts of many persons by just being herself.
Her fellow housemates, especially the male, saw her as a challenger and never hid the facts as she was nominated for possible eviction severally, becoming the most nominated housemate in the just concluded season.
She won the ‘Head of House’ on day 51 of the show and picked her love partner, Groovy as her roommate in the HOH lounge.
Phyna built a large fanbase outside the house, and many tipped her to be the last woman standing as she gradually made a loveable personality who never gets intimidated by a challenge.
BBNaija was almost a men’s show since the emergence of Mercy Eke, the first female to win the show, but Phyna walked home with an N100m grand prize; a cash prize of N50m and N50m worth of prizes and will be proud of her feat as she navigates her new status as a celebrity.
