Humanitarian worker and activist Ukan Kurugh has expressed outrage over his alleged mistreatment by operatives of the Nigerian Police Force.
Kurugh claimed he was abducted, tortured, and transported overnight to Benue State in his car without prior invitation or having committed any crime.
“I was abducted in a Gestapo-style operation orchestrated under the directive of the Benue State Commissioner of Police. I was taken in my own vehicle from Wuse Zone 4 to Jikwoyi Police Station, tortured, and then transported overnight to Benue State,” Kurugh narrated.
He called on the Benue State Commissioner of Police to address the public, demanding an explanation for the officers’ actions and their failure to verify whether he had been invited or notified prior to the operation.
Kurugh described the incident as an unjustifiable attack on a harmless citizen and public figure.
