Bella Shmurda reveals Mohbad’s suicide attempt amid record label conflict

Bella Shmurda, also known as Akinbiyi Abiola Ahmed, has shared a distressing account of his colleague Mohbad’s suicide attempt due to the turmoil between him and his former record label, Marlian Music.

Last year, Mohbad publicly accused Naira Marley, his former record label boss, of instigating an assault on him by his associates. Subsequently, he departed from the record label.

During a conversation with renowned media personality Chude Jideonwo, Bella Shmurda disclosed that Mohbad once tried to take his own life during this trying period, but his friends intervened.

Bella Shmurda recounted, “There was a moment when Mohbad and I were in an apartment, and he expressed his intention to jump from the upper floor due to the issues he was facing with his record label. We managed to hold him back by the window. Almost in the act, Mohbad’s girlfriend entered the room and found him seated near the window.”

Bella Shmurda revealed that Mohbad underwent therapy sessions and medical treatment for hypertension as part of his recovery process from the challenges stemming from his previous record label association.
