The General Manager of the Benue State Environmental Sanitation Authority, BENSESA, Hon Solomon Onah on Tuesday, 5th November, 2019 received in audience the Executive Chairman of the Benue Internal Revenue Service, BIRS, Mr Andrew Terhemba Ayabam who was on familiarisation tour of his Office.
While addressing the BENSESA GM on the purpose of his visit, Mr. Andrew Ayabam said BIRS would wish to collaborate with (BENSESA) to ensure improved revenue generation to enhance development and enhancement of sanitation conditions in the state. He reiterated the importance of the sanitation agency in ensuring a healthy environment and its role in revenue generation by the established synergy between the two agencies which would definitely improve revenue generation and development in the State.
Responding, the GM of BENSESA, Hon Solomon Onah thanked Mr Andrew Ayabam for the courtesy visit despite his tight schedules, saying Mr. Ayabam’s coming would strengthen the partnership between the two agencies that would ensure an improved revenue generation.
Hon Onah while conducting the State Revenue Chairman round BENSESA premise also presented the needs of the agency ranging from more revenue staff, office accommodation, support vehicles, ICT needs of the agency among others.
Hon Onah however thanked the Benue State Governor, His Excellency Samuel Ortom for the refurbishment of most of the dormant vehicles and provision of some new ones, his deputy, Engr Benson Abounu for his frequent visit and supervision,leading to the successes achieved by the agency so far.
In his response, Mr. Ayabam promised to look into the issues raised by the General Manager, while stressing that BIRS as a government agency was determined to succeed in its task of revenue generation to help Governor Ortom in the delivery of dividends of democracy to Benue people.
