Ortom vs Jime: Benue governor reveals what will happen if reelected

The Governor of Benue State, Dr Samuel Ortom on Wednesday 23 January, 2019 promised to accelerate the infrastructural development of the state if re-elected.

Ortom made the promise at Igumale during the governorship campaign rally.

The governor who depicted the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the only true and genuine political party said, “I have heard your cry and I promise I am going to deliver more dividends of democracy to the people”.

In his remarks, the former President of the Senate, Senator David Mark who described Governor Ortom as the protector of the people urged the people to encourage him by voting for him and other PDP candidates in the forth coming elections.

According to the Senator, Ortom since returning home (PDP) is performing very well interms of protection of life and property.

“My knowledge of Ado shows that the local government has been a solid support base of the Peoples Democratic Party and they are not going to change”, said Mark.

Also speaking, the House of Representatives hopeful for Ado/Ogbadibo/Okpokwu in the forth coming elections, Dr Francis Ottah Agbo who extolled the leadership qualities of the governor urged the people to vote overwhelmingly for all PDP candidates. He disclosed that Governor Ortom was ” held in captivity when he was in APC and was not allowed to work for the benefit of mankind “.

Addressing the mammoth crowd, former minister of Interior, Comrade Abba Moro who urged the people to vote for all the peoples Democratic Party candidates in the forth coming elections said the governor was incapacitated in his former party adding, ” he was my colleague, I know his capabilities and he knows mine.

“I am telling you in confidence that you will not regret voting Ortom”. The governor also got an endorsement from Nigeria students as the National Association of Nigerian Students ( NANS), as the president Comrade Obande Gideon assured the governor of students massive support in the election.
