Benue 2019: Okpokwu Ogenyi’s governorship campaign posters flood major cities

As campaigns for the 2019 general elections intensify, campaign posters of Comrade Okpokwu Ogenyi have flooded major cities of Benue State, seeking support for his governorship ambition.
Naija Voice News correspondent, Miriam Dzungwe Shiminenge, reports that the campaign posters of the activist-turned-politician were strategically placed in Gboko, Otukpo, Katsina-Ala and Makurdi respectively.
Speaking to our correspondent on this development, Comrade Ogenyi said he was in the race to tackle the security challenges confronting his people, improve the educational system and enhanced agricultural activities in the state, thereby leading to economic growth and development.
He reiterate that, his government will promote peaceful coexistence amongst the people where Iorliam will comfortably spend a week or two with Obande in Agila and Mimidoo will be very glad to live with Ogwuche forever in a matrimony. I am determined to restore the lost glory of Benue with the support of people.
He regretted that although large quantity of oranges was available in the state, Chivita Juice Company still sources its major raw material from South Africa. Our economic policies shall instill confidence on in visitors, I can assure you that, Benue is about to get right come 2019.
When asked if he could effectively challenge the incumbent Governor Ortom, considering that the Governor was still in the good books of Senator George Akume, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Hopeful said it was God who gives power, stating that the Senator, who believes in credibility, had wanted an Idoma person to govern the State long before now. Akume believes in the proficiency of the younger generation and he has demonstrated it in many forms, he will definitely follow the will of the people.
He further said though the State is facing some critical challenges at the moment which requires a rescue team, he was not in the race as a result of a complete failure of the system, but rather for its rescue from total collapse and improvement.
