Benue 2023: Again, Ortom tells appointees seeking elective positions to resign

The Executive Governor of Benue State, His Excellency Samuel Ortom has reiterated the need for all Political Appointees serving in the Present Administration in Benue State to fully dedicate their time and energy towards delivering effective governance to the Benue People.

In view of the foregoing, the Executive Governor has directed that all Political Appointees should henceforth desist from any form of political campaign at this time.

According to a statement by Prof. Anthony Ijohor, SAN Secretary to the State Government, any Political Appointee who is desirous of seeking elective Office or joining a campaign organization to campaign for any Political Aspirant in the next General Elections should immediately tender his/her letter of resignation in order to commit more time and energy towards actualizing such aspirations.

“Political Appointees are to note that the Secretary to the State Government Prof. Anthony A. Ijohor SAN, FCArb, FAN, has been directed to diligently monitor strict compliance to this directive as those found wanting shall be sanctioned appropriately.”
