Dr. Mathias Oyigeya, the former Chief Medical Director of the Federal Medical Centre, Makurdi, the Benue State capital has joined the long list of Idoma sons eyeing the Benue State Government House in 2023.
The current occupant of the seat, Samuel Ortom would complete his constitutional eight years in 2023 and the people of Idoma are clamouring to occupy the seat for the first time since Benue was created on 1976.
The entrance of Oyigeya has made it the fifth Idoma son that is eyeing the governorship seat.
Already, Ada Chenge, Daniel Onjeh, Steve Lawani have already made this intention known.
