Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia, has refuted claims suggesting that he called for the resignation of All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje.
This clarification was made public through a press statement released on Wednesday in Makurdi by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Tersoo Kula.
Various media reports had hinted at the governor’s alleged stance on the resignation issue concerning the APC national chairman.
Kula emphasized that Governor Alia has never made any public declaration regarding the resignation of the APC national chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje. The statement highlighted the amicable relationship between Governor Alia and the current leadership of the APC, led by Ganduje.
“It is crucial to set the record straight that Governor Alia has not convened, attended, or dispatched any representative to discuss the removal or resignation of Alhaji Abdullahi Umar Ganduje,” stated Kula.
“Governor Alia remains dedicated to his responsibilities as the leader of the APC in Benue State and is actively engaged in legitimate efforts to strengthen the party for forthcoming successes,” noted Kula.
