Benue APC crisis worsens as party suspends Ward chairman

Mbaya Council Ward in Buruku Local Government Area of Benue State has issued a vote of no confidence and consequently suspended the APC Party Chairman, Hon. Mkaa Pepe, and the Ward Chairman, Hon. Michael Dzeremo Orakpe.

This decision stemmed from allegations of misappropriation of party funds, habitual use of offensive language towards party members, failure to fulfill financial obligations, and involvement in activities detrimental to the party’s interests.

Expressing disappointment, the APC Party Executive Committee and other members condemned the actions of the suspended individuals and cautioned them against falsely representing themselves as APC members.

The suspension of Hon. Mkaa Pepe and Hon. Michael Dzeremo Orakpe followed the release of a press statement detailing their purported misconduct, prompting swift action from the Mbaya Council Ward. This vote of no confidence underscores the party’s unwavering dedication to maintaining integrity and accountability among its members.

With the APC Party Executive Committee steadfastly opposing such misconduct, it sends a clear message that such behavior will not be tolerated within the party’s ranks.
