Benue: Army arrest suspect who attacked Kadarko village head, stole motorcycle
The Nigerian Army has captured a man identified as Aondohemba Tsetim, a resident of the Anum community in Kadarko, for allegedly assaulting the Village Head of Kadarko and making away with his motorcycle.
IDOMA VOICE gathered that the attack took place last week, after which the suspect escaped the area, triggering an intensive search by security operatives.
Following a well-coordinated military operation, Tsetim was arrested earlier today by army personnel deployed to the region.
According to security sources, the suspect is in military custody and will soon be transferred to relevant law enforcement authorities for proper investigation and possible prosecution.
Community members in Kadarko have welcomed the arrest, praising the Nigerian Army’s quick response in apprehending the suspect and restoring peace to the area.
Authorities have further reaffirmed their commitment to justice, assuring residents that security and protection of lives and property remain top priorities.
