Benue: Comfort Deajir, wife of late Buruku LG chairman takes over as Vice chairman

Mrs. Comfort Deajir, wife of the late chairman of Buruku LGA of Benue State has been confirmed as the Vice Chairman of the local council.

IDOMA VOICE reports that Deajir died few days ago after contracting coronavirus.

His wife, Mrs. Deajir was earlier today screened and confirmed as Deputy Chairman by Buruku Legislative Council.

Mrs. Deajir will now serve as the Deputy Chairman to Hon. Andrew Iorver, who was sworn in as the substantive Chairman Buruku local Government Area after her husband’s demise.
