Benue communities boil as man allegedly kill daughter’s boyfriend

A man identified as Caleb Orban Anule from Mbazee Community near Jov-Mbavaa has allegedly killed a boy from Mbaimo community for having an affair with his daughter.

It was learnt from a source that Mr Caleb reportedly dumped the body of his daughter’s fiancee at a river bank in Konshisha Local Government Area of Benue State after killing him.

It was gathered that “the accused allegedly killed the boy because he caught the boy with his daughter which he said they were making love.” a source said.

The Police in the area is said to have arrested Mr. Caleb for investigation and interrogation.

The source went further to disclosed that “out of anger, Mbaimo People in Mbawar Council have set the killer’s house ablaze and the incident has escalated into full scale act of vandalism between both communities.

“All efforts by the traditional rulers of the two communities to make peace proof abortive as the deceased siblings are getting more furious.

“The two communities have been at war with each other for the period of three days now.” he added.
