The people of Adoka and Ugboju Districts of Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State on Wednesday January 15th, 2019 unanimously threw their supports for the incumbent Chairman of the council, Chief George Alli.
The people made their stance known when Chief George Alli was presented to the ward executive Councils of Adoka – Icho, Adoka – Ehaje, Entekpa, Ugboju – Icho, Ugboju – Otahe, and Ugboju – Ehaje at Aune and Ogobia.
Speaking at the occasion, a philanthropist, President and Founder of G12 foundation, Honourable Goodwin Oche, said they decided to support George Alli because of his developmental antecedents and the fact that he was favoured by the zoning arrangement.
He said he was thrilled by the skill acquisition center built by the Chairman amongst Other numerous projects.
Oche urged the people not to be deceived by the antics of those whom he said were bent at truncating the zoning system in place.
In their separate remarks, the Zonal youth leader, John Paul, retired Group Captain SJ Audu, Gabriel Olofu, Uloko Otache who spoke on behalf of their various Communities all gave support to the candidature of Chief George Alli.
They also pleaded with their brothers from Otukpo to in the interest of love work for zoning to be rotated to Adoka/Ugboju at the end of George Alli’s second term.
In his contribution, former Deputy Speaker, Benue State, Engineer Egli Johnson Ahubi, explained that the endorsement of George Alli was not only to satisfy zoning but to ensure the encouragement of those doing very well while in office.
Earlier, the aspirant, Chief George Alli, who listed virtually all the projects executed by him so far promised to do more if reelected.
He also promised to work with other critical stakeholders to ensure that the CHAIRMANSHIP goes to Adoka/Ugboju at the end of his tenure.
