The Senator representing Benue South Senatorial District, Comrade Abba Moro, congratulates the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and the elected Council Chairmen, their Deputies and Councillors on their victory in the Saturday council poll in Benue State.
The Benue State Independent Electoral Commission (BSIEC) Chairman, Dr Joseph Loko, announced the results in Makurdi on Sunday.
Senator Moro says the sweeping victory of the party is a testament of the pragmatic leadership being provided by Governor Samuel Ortom, the State Chairman of the party, Sir John Ngbede, and other leaders of the party in the State. He is full of commendation for BSIEC for the success of the election and the electorate for conducting themselves in orderly and peaceful manner.
The Senator enjoins the elected officials to see public office as a place of service and not an avenue to amass wealth at the detriment of the people. He says as the closest elected officials to the grassroots, they must do everything possible to justify the confidence reposed in them and impact positively on the lives of the people who elected them.
He assures them of his support in any way he can for them to succeed on their jobs.
