Benue Deputy Gov., Abounu reacts to death of Terkula Suswam

Benue State Deputy Governor, Engr. Benson Abounu has visited the Makurdi residence of the late Dr. Terkura Suswam to condole with the family over his tragic death at the hands of unknown gunmen, Tuesday evening at his Anyiin country home.

Accompanied by his Chief of Staff, Abel Adah Ikwom, and other personal staff, Engr. Abounu expressed shock and sadness over the sudden death of the flamboyant politician and great community leader, whose death, he said is a colossal loss to the people of Sankera, Benue State and Nigeria at large.

He spoke of his closeness to the late politician and business man, and called on his wife, Chief Mrs Ochanya Suswam, and the entire Suswam Tingir family to bear the loss with equanimity, adding that, no one can question the Almighty God for allowing it to happen, as He is the only one that knows the best.

Responding, Mrs Suswam thanked the Deputy Governor, as well as Governor Samuel Ortom for identifying with them at this trying period of their life. She said the family, which is still in shock over the incident that took everyone by surprise, is touched by the show of love for them by the Benue people.
