The Deputy Governor of Benue State, H.E Engr. Benson Abounu on Monday 23rd March, 2020 flag off another G12 Foundation electrification project in Ugboju Otukpo local government area.
The project which is structured to illuminate Ombi 1, Ombi 2, Ipolo 1, Ipolo 2 and Enanjile villages in Ugboju is sponsored by Hon. Oche Joseph Godwin, the CEO of G12 Foundation Club.
Engr. Abounu while speaking at the ground breaking ceremony praised Hon. Oche G12 for being very compassionate about the condition others as he pray and encourage him to keep the act up.
Hon. Oche G12 on his path said he was pushed to carry out the project after he discovered that the 5 villages have lacked the basic amenity (Electricity) since time immemorial.
“I came to find out that these villages in Otukpo had never had light before now and the last time the had hope of having electricity was 28 years ago when poles were mounted in the area but no further step was taking again for almost 30 years.
“We have made available the materials required to execute the project and God willing, we would complete what we already started in Jesus name.” He added.
Dignitris present at the occasion includes HRH Chief Omale Abah, the Och’Ugboju, Hon. Arc. Eric Adokwu, the Senior Special Adviser to Gov. Samuel Ortom on Urban and Housing Development, Hon. Chief George Alli, the immediate past Chairman of Otukpo local government and Chairmanship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Dr. Adakole Friday Elijah, Hon. Gabriel Olufu, Hon. Idah Ben Okopi amongst others.
