Governor Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia of Benue State has revealed that the Federal Government has given the green light for the rehabilitation and construction of key federal roads within the state. This announcement came to light during a statement made by Governor Alia in Makurdi on Friday, conveyed by his Chief Press Secretary, Tersoo Kula.

Governor Alia expressed confidence in the expansion and refurbishment of vital road networks throughout the state under his administration. Specifically, he outlined the federal roads slated for rehabilitation: Aliade-Gboko-Yandev, Gboko-Lessel-Ihugh-Tse Mker, and Oju-Otukpo roads.

Tersoo Kula, the Chief Press Secretary, emphasized that the governor is in constant communication with the Federal Government to expedite the completion of the Makurdi-Ugbema road and address the rehabilitation of deteriorated sections of the Katsina-Ala-Vandeikya-Ogoja road.

In addition to ongoing urban road construction within Makurdi, Governor Alia underscored the forthcoming attention to various other metropolises in the state, including Gboko, Otukpo, and Katsina-Ala. Rural road development is also a key focus in the government’s strategic plans.

Governor Alia used this opportunity to call for increased support from both the populace and the administration, extending his gratitude to President Bola Tinubu-led Federal Government for their backing in this significant infrastructural initiative. The governor highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts to accelerate progress and development within the state.
