Benue: Five suspects arrested as troops storm criminal hideout in Otukpo

Troops have apprehended five individuals following a raid on a suspected criminal enclave in Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State.

Details of the operation were shared on Wednesday via X by security analyst, Zagazola Makama.

According to the report, soldiers under Sector 1 of Operation Whirl Stroke conducted a combat patrol on March 23, targeting a hideout located at Amla Icho.

During the mission, five suspects were arrested, while a cache of items was recovered from the scene.

“These include six locally made guns, 16 empty cartridges, one motorcycle, three machetes, and six mobile phones,” Makama wrote.

The suspects, along with the recovered exhibits, remain in military custody as investigations continue.
