Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, has approved the appointment of a new Director-General for the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) and members of the boards for eight state-owned tertiary institutions.
A statement signed on Monday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Sir Tersoo Kula, announced that the appointments take immediate effect.
Dr. Akwonya Adadu, a lecturer at Benue State University, Makurdi, has been appointed as the Director-General of the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP).
The appointed council members for Benue State’s tertiary institutions are as follows:
Kula stated that Governor Alia believes the appointed individuals, carefully selected based on their records of service and wealth of experience, will elevate the tertiary institutions to top-notch status in the country.
“He charges them to permanently put the interests of the state first in all their official engagements. He congratulates and wishes the new appointees a fruitful tenure in office,” Kula said.
