Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, has lifted the suspension of the State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice and Public Order, Barr. Fidelis Bemsen Mnyim.
The decision was announced by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Terso Kula, following the State Executive Council meeting on Monday, November 11, 2024.
The Attorney General was initially suspended for unilaterally listing Benue among states that filed a suit challenging the federal government over the establishment of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Following his suspension, he took corrective action by delisting Benue from the suit.
