Benue Gov, Ortom escapes death as suspected herdsmen militia attack his convoy

Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, narrowly escaped death on Saturday after gunmen suspected to be herdsmen militia attacked his convoy.

IDOMA VOICE gathered that the convoy of Governor who was said to be returning from Gboko was attached along Tyomu community in Makurdi, the state capital.

According to an eyewitness report, the hoodlums opened fire on Ortom’s convey with led to counter exchange of gunfire by the governor’s security men.

The eyewitness however, did not stated if there was any casualty.
