As a prelude to the 23rd – 25th Combined Convocation of the Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi, Governor Samuel Ortom, today commissioned the School of Engineering Complex, a 3-in-1 structure built to house the departments of Civil, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.
Governor Ortom, who was represented by his deputy, Engr. Benson Abounu called on the students and staff of the university to make the best use of the facilities to advance the study and application of engineering in the state and country.
Vice-chancellor of the University, Prof. Anande Richard Kimbir told the governor that the structure was built at the cost of N1.2b from the 2015 TETFund allocation to the university.
Minister for Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, Senator George Akume, and the chairman of the Governing Council of the University, and top government officials were among the dignitaries that witnessed the commissioning ceremony.
