The Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev Fr Dr Hyacinth Iormen Alia, has unveiled a significant initiative under the banner of “ALIA SPECIAL PROJECTS” titled “ONE MILLION HYBRID OIL PALM SEEDLINGS FOR FARMERS 2024.” This pioneering project is designed to distribute one million hybrid oil palm seedlings to farmers in Benue, recognizing the economic potential of oil palms and their substantial contribution to the state’s agricultural sector.
In a proactive move to ensure the project’s success, the Benue Oil Palm Project Team, led by Hon. Alex Addingi, the Special Adviser to the Governor on International Investments, convened a crucial meeting with investors specializing in Oil Palm Nursery in Makurdi, the capital of Benue State.
The primary objective of this gathering was to foster collaboration with skilled investors in oil palm nursery, ensuring the availability of superior-quality seedlings for distribution to farmers. This partnership is essential to guarantee that farmers receive high-quality seedlings, enhancing their prospects of successful oil palm cultivation.
