Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Benue State, Mr Terver Akase has tendered his resignation letter to contest for the 2023 governorship of the State.
Mr Akase, accompanied by his wife, presented his resignation letter to his boss, Governor Samuel Ortom today in the morning before he proceeded to address a press conference in his office at the Benue Peoples House Makurdi.
The former Chief Press Secretary whose campaign slogan is “Benue Peoples Project,” told journalists that the people would support and own his aspiration.
He stated that when nominated and eventually elected Governor, his administration will focus on security, agriculture, job creation, education and health as well as development of infrastructure and welfare of workers.
Speaking on insinuations that he does not have the experience to govern the State, the governorship hopeful on the platform of the PDP said having worked as a correspondent with Radio Nigeria for over ten years and Chief Press Secretary for six years, he has garnered enough experience to govern the State.
Mr Akase who advised his supporters against campaign of calumny and attack against other aspirants, promised to run an all inclusive governance with respect to elders and leaders of the party.
Fielding questions from journalists, the immediate past Chief Press Secretary said he has no godfather and is not anointed by anybody as being insinuated.
